Espresso Love has notched up her fifth career win, and third from only nine start this season, with a strong on pace win at Gold Coast today.
Jumping well, Espresso Love was able to camp on the speed in the BM 58 (1200m) before giving chase to the leader and race favourite, Win Burn, as the field swung for home.
With a two length margin to close at the top of the straight, Espresso Love, a 5yo mare by Love Conquers All, knuckled down to the task and under the urgings of Tahlia Fenlon, joined the leader with 50 metres to go before finishing too strong and recording a neck win.
The victory took Espresso Love’s career earnings to over $100,000.00 who was a $32,000 buy at the Magic Millions March sales as a yearling.
