It was such a relief for the connections of Diamond Lass that after months and months of rain we finally got a good track for our speedy filly. Despite the sharp out of the gates filly, I Am Pearl, laying in on her the length of the straight Diamond Lass was too strong and she was able to record her first victory. The win was made even sweeter as she picked up one of the lucrative QTIS fillies bonuses making the Gatton win worth $27K.  Special thanks to jockey Georgina Cartwright who has put in some much time and effort riding track work with our young horses. This win brings Diamond Lass’ record to a win two seconds and two fourths from six starts. We are confident that this is only the beginning for the Deejay Bloodstock bred filly by Better Than Ready out of the Lonhro mare Naima.
