It was such a relief for the connections of Diamond Lass that after months and months of rain we finally got a good track for our speedy filly. Despite the sharp out of the gates filly, I Am Pearl, laying in on her the length of the straight Diamond Lass was too strong and she was able to record her first victory. The win was made even sweeter as she picked up one of the lucrative QTIS fillies bonuses making the Gatton win worth $27K. This win brings Diamond Lass’ record to a win two seconds and two fourths from six starts.
